Terms & Conditions
Important Notice: OMore (the "Platform") is designed for children aged 8–14. A parent or legal guardian must read, understand, and accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of their child before the child may use the Platform. By accepting, you confirm that you are the parent or guardian of the child user.
1. About OMore
OMore is a creative learning platform built for Gen Alpha — a safe, AI-assisted space where young creators can write stories, build businesses, record podcasts, design artwork, create quizzes, and collaborate with friends. OMore is operated by Kokoverse ("we", "us", "our").
2. Eligibility and Parental Consent
2.1 The Platform is intended for users between the ages of 8 and 14.
2.2 In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act), and the UK's Age Appropriate Design Code, we require verifiable parental or guardian consent before collecting any personal information from a child. This consent is collected during the account creation process and is recorded with a timestamp and version number for audit purposes.
2.3 By completing the sign-up process and accepting these Terms, the parent or guardian:
- Confirms they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
- Consents to the collection and use of their child's information as described herein.
- Accepts responsibility for supervising their child's use of the Platform.
2.4 If a child attempts to register without parental consent, or if we learn that personal data has been collected from a child without verified consent, we will delete that information promptly.
3. Account Registration
3.1 To create an account, users provide: a display name (first name only), age (used solely to apply child privacy protections), school name (optional — used for school-based friend discovery only), city and country, and a parent or guardian email address (for consent and communication).
3.2 Accounts are authenticated via Apple Sign-In, which is managed and secured by Apple Inc. OMore does not store passwords.
3.3 Parents are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential. You must notify us immediately at look@omore.app if you believe your child's account has been compromised.
4. User Content and Licence to OMore
4.1 User Ownership: Children retain full ownership of all creative content they produce on the Platform — including stories, artwork, journal entries, podcast recordings, quiz questions, presentations, and business plans ("User Content"). Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of User Content to Kokoverse.
4.2 Licence Grant: By using OMore, you grant Kokoverse a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute User Content solely for the following purposes:
- Publishing content in OMore-branded books, story collections, and educational materials.
- Featuring work in materials that celebrate the OMore community, including the OMore website and related channels.
- Using content for internal research and platform improvement.
4.3 External Promotional Use — Opt-In Required: We will not use your child's content in advertisements, press materials, investor presentations, or external promotional campaigns without first obtaining separate, explicit written consent from the parent or guardian. This opt-in is distinct from acceptance of these Terms and can be provided or withdrawn at any time by contacting look@omore.app.
4.4 Attribution: Where User Content is published externally under a consented use, attribution will be credited to the creator using their chosen display name, never their full legal name.
4.5 No Compensation Required: OMore is not required to provide financial compensation for licenced use of User Content under Section 4.2, though we may provide recognition, rewards, or tokens within the Platform at our discretion.
4.6 Your Retained Rights: Users may continue to use, share, or publish their work on other platforms. Granting OMore a licence does not restrict the child's own use of their creations in any way.
4.7 Revoking the Licence: Parents may revoke the licence granted under Section 4.2 at any time for specific content by contacting look@omore.app or using the Parent Portal. Following a valid revocation request, Kokoverse will cease use of the identified content within 30 days. Content already published or distributed prior to the revocation request may not be fully retractable from third-party channels.
4.8 Worry Jar Content: Content created in the Worry Jar feature is treated as private emotional content. It is never subject to any licence under this Section, cannot be published to the Bark Board or any other shared space, and is accessible only to the child's parent or guardian and OMore administrators in genuine safeguarding circumstances only.
5. AI Features
5.1 OMore includes an AI assistant ("AI Helper"), powered by third-party language model services. The AI Helper is designed as a creative guide — it asks questions, sparks ideas, and provides frameworks, but the child remains the primary creator.
5.2 The AI Helper is governed by the following principles:
- It provides guided input at most; children provide the majority of creative direction.
- It is age-appropriate and restricted to educational, constructive interactions.
- All AI prompts and responses are subject to content filtering.
5.3 AI usage is managed through a token economy. Children receive a daily allowance of tokens and earn additional tokens by completing creative activities. This system encourages healthy engagement and limits over-reliance on AI assistance.
5.4 The AI Helper does not have memory between sessions. Session text may be transmitted to our AI service providers for processing; please refer to the Privacy Policy for details of how this data is handled, stored, and protected.
6. Content Moderation
6.1 All user-generated content shared on the Bark Board (the Platform's community sharing feature) and any audio or video content submitted through the Platform's creative tools are subject to moderation review before publication.
6.2 OMore reserves the right to review, withhold, or remove any content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
6.3 Content may be reported by users. Reports are reviewed by the OMore moderation team and acted upon within 24 hours for safety-related reports.
6.4 Moderation data is retained for 12 months for safety and compliance purposes.
7. Social Features and Safety
7.1 The Platform includes social features such as friend discovery, the Bark Board community feed, and structured in-app interactions via the Game Inbox. The Game Inbox enables pre-templated, positive interactions between connected users; it does not support free-form private messaging between children.
7.2 The following safety defaults apply to all accounts:
- Privacy level: Friends-only by default.
- Friend limit: Up to 50 connections.
- Content filtering: Moderate level by default.
- Parents may adjust these settings via the Parent Portal.
7.3 Users may block other users at any time. Blocked users cannot view your profile or interact with your content.
7.4 All social interactions on the Platform are structured and limited to positive, pre-approved content formats. We do not support unmoderated open messaging between children.
8. Publishing to the Bark Board
8.1 Children may share their stories and journals to the Bark Board community feed. Publishing is a voluntary action initiated by the child and confirmed through an in-app prompt.
8.2 The initial acceptance of these Terms constitutes parental consent for a child's content to be published to the Bark Board. Parents who do not wish their child to have access to the Bark Board publishing feature may disable it via the Parent Portal at any time.
8.3 Once published to the Bark Board, content is permanent and cannot be unpublished by the child. Parents may request removal of published content at any time by contacting look@omore.app or through the Parent Portal.
8.4 Worry Jar content is never eligible for Bark Board publication. See Section 4.8.
9. Prohibited Conduct
Users (and parents on their behalf) must not:
- Share personal contact information (phone numbers, home addresses, social media handles) on the Platform.
- Attempt to circumvent parental controls or age restrictions.
- Upload content that is violent, sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
- Harass, bully, or threaten other users.
- Use the Platform for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit Platform systems.
- Impersonate other users, parents, or OMore staff.
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent removal.
10. Parent Portal
10.1 Parents have access to a dedicated Parent Portal that allows them to:
- Review all content created by their child.
- Monitor friend connections and manage social settings.
- Adjust content filtering levels (strict, moderate, permissive).
- Control discovery settings and friend request approvals.
- Enable or disable access to the Bark Board publishing feature.
- Request deletion of specific content or the entire account.
- Opt in to or withdraw from external promotional use of content.
- Update profile information.
10.2 Parents are responsible for regularly reviewing their child's activity on the Platform.
11. Intellectual Property
11.1 The OMore name, logo, platform design, mascot characters, and all underlying technology are the intellectual property of Kokoverse and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
11.2 Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of OMore's intellectual property to users.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
12.1 The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
12.2 We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components.
12.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kokoverse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform.
12.4 Our total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid (if any) for Platform access in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Changes to These Terms
13.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the version and date at the top, notify parents via in-app prompt requiring re-acceptance before continued use, and bump the in-app terms version number accordingly.
13.2 Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Parents who do not accept updated Terms should contact us to close their child's account.
14. Termination
14.1 We may suspend or terminate an account at any time if a user violates these Terms, without prior notice.
14.2 Parents may request account deletion at any time by contacting look@omore.app or through the Parent Portal. Upon deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days, subject to the exceptions set out in the Privacy Policy.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
15.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, where Kokoverse is incorporated and operates. Users in other jurisdictions also benefit from the protections of applicable local law, including COPPA (United States), the UK GDPR and Age Appropriate Design Code (United Kingdom), and GDPR (European Union).
15.2 Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith written negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to binding arbitration under the rules of the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996, with proceedings conducted in Bengaluru, India, in the English language.
15.3 Nothing in this Section limits a parent's right to bring a complaint before a relevant data protection authority in their country of residence.
